Life Experience College Credit

Not everything can be learned in the classroom. In fact, some of the most important lessons can only be learned through firsthand experience.

When choosing an online school, look for one that recognizes life experience – experiences gained in the workplace, through community service, or in the military – when counting college credits. An online school that accepts life credit accelerates your online learning experience and lets you earn an accredited degree in a shorter amount of time.

If you look at the things you’ve done in your life, you might realize that you might have already fulfilled some college requirements in them. However, school has its own standards for judging and awarding life credits, so it’s important that you research the programs and its relevance to your academic objectives and your goals.

You should also make sure that the institution you’re looking at is accredited by the right institutions. Proof of life experience includes certificates, attendance in workshops or seminars, or community service.
