Masters Degree in Christian Counseling
Those individuals who are interested in combining their Christian faith with their work may consider taking a Masters degree in Christian counseling since they can use a different approach than those mental health professionals and still have the same yearly salary with those who practice general counseling.
But of course before one can have a Masters degree in Christian counseling, one must be able to have a Bachelor’s degree in a related counseling field and should have faith in their Christian beliefs. Since a professional counselor may work faith together with prayer into his patients to further help him or her emotionally. The course usually takes a year to complete.
Having a Master’s degree in Christian counseling can help those counselors to become more specialized. They can still use a non-religious based counseling if the patient is non-Christian, but if the patient would want them to use their Christian faith in their counseling especially if the patient is Christian then they can do so.
