Chaplaincy Training

Chaplaincy training can vary depending on the institution that is offering the courses. Some courses may take 47 hours, others may take less, others may take more. Also, there are some schools that offer a separate basic training versus advanced training program. This can help determine what type of situations you may want to handle.

By completing community chaplaincy training, you will be able to help your community and even law enforcement with dealing with crisis or traumatic events that may be occurring in your neighborhood.  Sometimes, victims or survivors may not feel comfortable communicating with emergency personnel. That’s where a chaplain can come in. They can provide a calming presence that makes it easy to talk about troubling issues.

However not all chaplaincy training is for negative or traumatic events. Some chaplaincy training can also help educate children with safety at home or at school. It can also train you to perform weddings, one of the more joyous occasions in life. No matter what occasion or event it may be, chaplaincy training can help you help your community with all sorts of situations.
